What to expect?

Come and watch the meeting of holy white and green rivers in a nature experience of self discovery. We will sit some meters above their exact meeting place, under a large tree, and with eyes closed visualize what is seen. The mesmerising moments this vision will produce opens our inner centers (Chakras). Then after a few minutes with eyes open, we will see how the surrounding hills seem to support the sky overhead: we feel ourselves being transported into a mystic nature sanctuary all around.

What we will do?

We will walk inside a secret passage, that resembles the female womb, and as we squeeze out from the opening, we will bring about an opening in our own inner consciousness, a symbolic representation of our rebirth. Next we will descend to the green river and white river meeting point below, and on the river banks, light a tiny ritual fire within river sounds all around. The sound of this rivers flow is captured in its mystic rhythm that we can hear and feel entering us. This wood-mystic-fire will carry this sound with our offering to the Above. An ancient yoga practice that will follow.

What is the purpose of the Pilgrimage?

Witness this sacred river confluence quietens the mind simply by letting you watch flow meet flow, until something inside you also begins to settle. It reflects your inner world, showing how scattered parts of you can meet without force and slowly become whole. The merging waters invite surrender, gently loosening the need to hold, control, or define everything. And in that presence, you begin to feel life itself as one continuous movement, not separate, but flowing through you. It is a nature transmission that works on multidimensional aspects of you.

Damauli is an ancient Vedic site located 1 hour drive from Pokhara. Pick up from your hotel in Pokhara  and 1 hour scenic drive to Damauli • Fire practice, cave walk, yoga & riverbank fire ceremony and meditation  • Lunch • Return to Pokhara

Damauli River Confluence & Vyas Cave Pilgrimage (Day Trip)

Next we will descend to the green river bank immediately below, and light a tiny ritual fire within river sounds all around. The sound of this rivers flow is captured in its mystic rhythm that we can hear and feel entering us. This wood-mystic-fire will carry this sound with our offering to the Above. An ancient yoga practice that will follow.

The practices are a call to Shakti that the rivers flow symbolizes in living Himalayan culture. These are the "Rivers that are self revealed" in ancient Himalayan texts of the divine Feminine as a nature-womanhood self-conception. All water is a symbol of a divine manifestation, of which womanhood is the human symbol. Come and get introduced to a development in an evolving self conception as divine Nature.

On the way back we will meditate in a womb of the Divine Earth Mother, where ancient Sages have meditated. We will carry back the nature experience of the meeting of the rivers, and use that as a basis for a meditation in the holy cave. The downward flow of these rivers is a symbol for the descent of Shakti into us, still living here as recorded in primal yoga hymns. The white colored divine River-Mother's "milk" flow and her Sister's dark waters unite in front of the cave in which we will meditate.
After the cave practice we return to Pokhara.
