My Quest for the Rig Vedic Mystic Fire

My name is Shama Kantha.

I am a medical doctor, born and living in Nepal, and it is my destiny to seek the Rig Vedic Mystic Fire.

I come from a traditional Hindu family, with the women performing daily puja with fire. I think that is why I was born into my family. But it was not until I visited holy places with a fire pit that I realised its association with nature. What I will present is basically Himalayan Pilgrimage Yoga based in the Rig Veda.

The Rig Veda has a vastness of knowledge, of which I am presenting a tiny portion that associates womanhood and nature in the same symbol and experience, for example, Daughter Dawn.

"When I was younger, I was Daughter Dawn. I sought the light. I looked under the tables, in the drawers, everywhere, searching for that light. That period has passed, and I am at the mature womanhood level of that seeking."

The Simplicity of Mystic Practices

"For educated people, the problem is its simplicity."

There is a practical purpose served by Mystic practices. When you do the practices, you want to be patient because it is a Mystic process. Time is a mystic requirement. We cannot manufacture this knowledge ourselves, but it will come to us if we do the practice. This is also research.

I have translated a book of this "9 Rig Vedic Sites of Nepal" research into Nepali, and I expect to produce a book on research on "Holy Nature Symbols of the Mustang & Panchase Region." The Mystic Fire in Muktinath is one of them. Ultimately, I will present this research to the government in order to develop a tourism project.

Himalayan Pilgrimage Yoga and the Rig Veda

It is common knowledge that Rig Vedic knowledge was composed in the Himalayas, of which Nepal holds the premier symbolism of Annapurna, which is a physical mountain massif as well as a goddess. The practices come from research from the Panchase Mountain Pilgrimage.

"Generally speaking, everyone who attends the annual Panchase Mela pilgrimage is doing Rig Vedic yoga practices without knowing it. This is the case with nature rituals everywhere in the world."

We will start with the simplest of practices, which entails simply watching the breath. In the Rig Veda, the Mystic Fire is in the breath.

"The Mystic Fire is hereditary in our species. Without it, our survival could not succeed. So, what these practices do is uncover the fire that everyone has, according to their level of evolution."

Nature, Womanhood, and the Mystic Fire

This is a multidimensional seeking based in Nature and Womanhood with the Mystic Fire. There are no rules. Whatever works, works.

"What we see outside, we can see inside. How we experience ourselves outside, we can experience from inside."

"What we can experience from nature outside has an inner parallel. This is the mystic magic of nature, womanhood, and the Mystic Fire."

In the Himalayas, the outlines of a woman are worshipped. The yoni is the holiest of nature symbols because this opening brings physical life as well as an inner birth. These Rig Vedic practices bring that inner birth.

This inner birth is associated with the living tradition of Shakti and Tantra. It accepts the world as a divine manifestation. It seeks to celebrate this life experience of mystic and divine proportions instead of leaving the world.

When you learn about the divinity in nature as a woman, when you return home, you will find holy nature parallels.

This is the study and research that develops as a built-in process of this tradition of yoga practices. You will feel yourself taking part and not leading or guiding the way. The focus on the Mystic Fire in a divine manifestation alters your self-conception, the way you view yourself.

"Because we are seeing nature as divine, we become divine, according to our ability and degree of inner evolution. This ultimately makes all of our life a practice ground."

The yoni symbol that all women possess brings this inner birth. In this modern time, it is called Shakti, which is multidimensional. This is an experience of ourselves as sacred womanhood.

If you would like to explore your own mystic womanhood, join me on a women's retreat in the bosoms of mother mountain Panchase, Nepal, home to ancient meditation huts and Yogis.
